Mommy: Hi Sweet! Is that a big blue bear you’re carrying around?
Ayden: Yes, Mommy. He’s all jacked up.
Mommy: Jacked up?
Ayden: Yes… he needs to go to the doctor.
A day in the life of the Whisler family!

Yes, hard to believe, Owen is now four months old! Oops, better schedule his four-month doc appointment then eh? I’m living in denial! Owen has reached several baby milestones in the past month and a half or so, not the least of which is rolling over from his tummy to his back. He managed this feat about two weeks ago. He’s also very near rolling from back to front… he can roll onto his side by lifting up his chubby thighs and using the weight to throw his body over to the side. He also has chosen to suck his middle two fingers to pacify himself in bed. Grandma Gail manages to get some pretty cute little coos from him and sometimes it seems like he’s trying to sing along to the songs on the radio while we’re driving. He’s also mesmerized by Grandma Gail’s talking watch… it can sooth the savage beast, when nothing else will! That’s worth its weight in gold in my book! He finds his older brother and cousins fascinating and would soon become a couch potato if I left him in front of the TV. I often call him my “little piranha” because he loves to viciously bite his spit rag, or my finger if he can get a hold of it! Oh no, not teeth! Please spare me for a few more months! That’s the latest on the youngest Whisler… I’ll supply the customary pediatrician statistics after his four-month checkup. Note to self: make doctor appointment tomorrow morning!
