Well, that goes without saying. However, it means that I’m home and can upload photos! There’s always a bright side, right? We’ve all been taking our turns being ill in the household, and I’ve been hit pretty hard. Yuck! I’m trying to lay low and give my body some time to heal… no luck yet :( Anyway, the past couple of weeks have been busy busy busy. But in the midst of it all, my beloved husband and wonderful sister arranged for Cirque du Soleil tickets last week. Heather and I went (it was Heather’s first time and my third!) and saw an amazing show called Varekai. Breath taking!!! What a great early birthday present! Thanks you guys! Otherwise we’ve been busy at the shop, busy with our tenants and buildings, and busy with our teething monster! Poor kid has SEVEN teeth making their way through right now! Three on the bottom, and four on top. Hopefully his body will give him a little resting period soon, before the rest come in. Enjoy the pics!
Monthly Archive for April, 2006
First of all, WOW, I can’t believe I’m actually beating Heather to posting about our tulip adventure on Tuesday afternoon?!?!? That’s got to be a first! Anyway, Heather and the kidlets invited Ayden, myself, and Grandma Gail to the annual tulip festival. Even though I’ve been in Oregon for a decade and a half, and in the Portland area since 1996 I had never been to one of the tulip festivals. I’m glad we went this year because it was beautiful! Glorious color and row upon row of tulips. And I’m not particularly into tulips, but the sheer vastness of the fields and colors were amazing. If you haven’t been, you should make the effort to do so - it’s worth the drive! Enjoy the pics!
God No! He crawled! And not just the oh-so-cute-but-not-yet-mobile backwards crawl. No, this is the real FORWARD kind! AHHH! I am now completely unable to ever turn around again! As many of you know, I have not been encouraging this developmental stage, nor looking forward to it. However, the day has arrived. I am excited for Ayden on some level… but OH GOD, he can crawl now. I’m too depressed… I’m going to go drink myself into a stuper. Goodnight.
P.S. There are some new photos for your viewing pleasure in the April 2006 gallery.
And just like that, another two weeks (almost) has passed since my last post. I just added a bunch more photos to the Late March 2006 gallery. The photos include Ayden stuffing himself backwards into precarious positions, festivities at the Pharoah household for Grandma Kelly’s birthday on the 30th, playtime at the Boisvert household, Emery’s first haircut and Ayden’s second (thanks Uncle Barney!), bathtime at home, and the ever-so-talenting Lindsay ballerina! Whew! It’s been eventful around these parts!
And as for Sir Ayden, he has developed two not-so-funny behaviors over the past two days. First, due to the continued teething, he has taken to biting my shirt (or whatever I am wearing, or NOT wearing). And secondly, while feeding him cereal with his spoon, he waits until the exact moment the spoon enters his mouth, then BLOWS!!! Yes, he’s been spraying food all over me, the highchair, and anything else within a couple of feet. Urgh… it’s not fun. I’m not exactly sure how to curb the behavior however. And it’s just so funny when he’s doing it that I have to quickly turn away so that he doesn’t see my reaction. Oy vay… the joys of parenting!
